I’m Not Sure How to Decide if I Should Stay or Go

You haven’t quite decided if divorce is the right choice yet, but now that you’ve considered it, you can’t go back. You might be asking yourself questions like:

  • Will my kids be okay if I choose to divorce?

  • What kind of example am I setting if I stay?

  • What are the actual logistics of divorce (mediation, cost of separating, housing, future finances) that I need to consider?

  • How will I look to my friends, family, and community if I’m the one who leaves?

  • Is there something I haven’t done or tried that will turn my marriage around?

This can feel like an impossible situation to be in, but when you’re making such a life-altering decision, clarity matters. Understanding your options and the divorce process can set your expectations and avoid costly mistakes.

Coaching will help you resolve some of your unanswered questions so that you can make clear and informed decisions about what you want, what’s best for your family, and what kind of life you want to lead. Our session will give you an unbiased and confidential space to fully assess all of the areas of your life that will be touched by divorce, make eyes-wide-open observations, communicate your fears, and come to important conclusions.

The issues you struggle with while married to your spouse are often the ones you will continue to struggle with during and after a divorce. We can dig into what those are and create new narratives around how you work with them going forward regardless of whether you stay married or divorce. If you do choose to move forward with divorce, I’m here to walk you through the process every step of the way.
